The paraSITE project occurs every year at Cal Poly, midway through the first year sequence. It offers students the opportunity to creatively utilize the skills accumulated thus far by exploring a given site on the architecture building on campus. Context, materiality, and human scale are investigated and responded to accordingly in groups of four / five. The paraSITE here utilizes clear plexiglass triangles to play with the light coming into the site, and also features water that casts down onto the module.
This project was completed in early 2013, and was featured on the College of Architecture & Environmental Design website.
